Testimonials

Working with Katie for 2.5 years in an Early Years classroom was one of the most influential parts of my teaching journey. Her deep understanding of Reggio Emilia principles didn’t just shape our classroom - it shaped me as an educator.
Katie has a remarkable ability to turn pedagogy into something living and practical. Under her guidance, our classroom became a genuinely child led space: interesting provocations, thoughtful environment design, and learning experiences that grew from the children’s own questions and theories. She showed me how powerful it is when children are trusted as capable learners, and the impact on them was immediate - the children had more confidence, more curiosity and we enjoyed a more collaborative classroom culture.
One of the biggest things I learned from Katie was how to observe and document with intention. As someone who valued efficiency, I always believed in the value of speed. But with Katie, she taught me to slow down in order to notice children’s thinking and draw a response. I was doing my degree while working full-time, and she guided me through so much of that learning. The things she taught me about play-based learning, behaviour support, and classroom flow are things I still use in my own classroom today.
As a trainer, Katie brings the same vibrant energy and practicality. She makes complex ideas feel accessible and gives teachers strategies they can use right away. Anyone who attends her professional development will walk away inspired and equipped to bring her innovative practices into their own classrooms.
